Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to be an artist?
No! If you can create a simple sign, you can participate in United We Stitch. Your banner can be as simple as fabric markers or paints on fabric.
What are the requirements?
Your banner should be 3’ X 5’, "the standard size of an American Flag", with finished edges. The panel can be enhanced with fabrics, markers, paints or whatever medium you feel can make your point and still display well with other panels. You can use ribbons and/or grommets to attach to other panels at your event.
How do I identify my panel?
The United We Stitch printable label ( coming soon) can be affixed to the back lower right corner of the panel. Alternatively, you can write your name, city and state, and contact email on the back lower right corner.
How will my panel be returned?
We will not be holding panels. At the close of the event, you will collect your panel per the local event coordinator’s instructions. We will be asking some participants to send their panels to a central address for future national events.
How can I coordinate an event in my community?
Please visit the Events Organization page for suggestions on how to get started in your community. Also on the page is the Events form to be completed by the organizer.
Where do I send my panel?
You can find an event near you listed on the Get Involved page. If there is not one listed near you, consider contacting the closest to you or you can organize an event yourself.
